1. Go to the following link: http://www.time.com/time/photoessays/ . Here you will find a number of "photo essays," pictures on the same subject that tell a story.
2. Scroll through the pictures and find a provocative picture (just ONE) that you believe tells a story.
3. right click on the image and click "save picture as."
4. When you log onto blogger.com and get to the "create" page, you will import the file. If you look on the toolbar where you can change font size and color, all the way to the right is a small bluish picture. Click it.
5. "Browse" for your picture on your hard drive, which you most likely stored in a "my pictures" folder. It will most likely start with that folder. Click on it and PRESTO! The image is on your post. It will ask you what size picture. . .choose medium.
6. Now, for the writing.
Tell the story from any perspective. You can imagine you are one of the people in the photo; you can be a 3rd person observer. The key here is that you practice WRITING DESCRIPTIVELY. A rule of thumb should be that your reader should be able to see what you are writing WITHOUT seeing the picture. Find the specifics of the picture (not just wood, but rather "splintered lumber.") Find the emotion in the people's faces. Nail the setting.
Basically, practice SHOWING the reader the situation, not telling them. Provide a title for the picture/writing, too. I will post a favorite of mine from a few years ago that I was reminded by this week when Hurricane Gustav hit Louisiana again.
